چکیده

This paper describes a hierarchical distributed control (HDC) model for coordinating cooperative problem-solving among intelligent systems. The model was implemented using SOCIAL, an innovative object-oriented tool for integrating heterogeneous, distributed software systems. SOCIAL embeds applications in “wrapper” objects called Agents, which supply predefined capabilities for distributed communication, control , data specification and translation. The HDC model is realized in SOCIAL as a “Manager” Agent that coordinates interactioiis among application Agents. The HDC-Manager: indexes the capabilities of application Agents; routes request messages to suitable server Agents; and stores results in a commonly accessible “Bulletin-Board”. This centralized control model is illustrated in a fault diagnosis application for launch operations support of the Space Shuttle fleet a t NASA, Kennedy Space Center.

Adaptive Protection Based on Intelligent Distribution Networks with the Help of Network Factorization in the Presence of Distributed Generation Resources

Factorizing a system is one of the best ways to make a system intelligent. Factorizing the protection system, providing the right connecting agents, and transmitting the information faster and more reliably can improve the performance of a protection system and maintain system reliability against distributed generation resources. This study presents a new method for coordinating network protect...

Intelligent identification of vehicle’s dynamics based on local model network

This paper proposes an intelligent approach for dynamic identification of the vehicles. The proposed approach is based on the data-driven identification and uses a high-performance local model network (LMN) for estimation of the vehicle’s longitudinal velocity, lateral acceleration and yaw rate. The proposed LMN requires no pre-defined standard vehicle model and uses measurement data to identif...

A bi-level programming approach to coordinating pricing and ordering decisions in a multi-channel supply chain

This paper investigates the Stackelberg equilibrium for pricing and ordering decisions in a multi-channel supply chain. We study a situation where a manufacturer is going to open a direct online channel in addition to n existing traditional retail channels. It is assumed that the manufacturer is the leader and the retailers are the followers. The situation has a hierarchical nature and...

A Multiagent Model for Intelligent Distributed Control Systems

One approach for automating industrial processes is a Distributed Control System (DCS) based on a hierarchical architecture. In this hierarchy, each level is characterized by a group of different tasks to be carried out within the control system and by using and generating different information. In this article, a reference model for the development of Intelligent Distributed Control Systems ba...

Agent Based Frameworks for Distributed Association Rule Mining: an Analysis

Distributed Association Rule Mining (DARM) is the task for generating the globally strong association rules from the global frequent itemsets in a distributed environment. The intelligent agent based model, to address scalable mining over large scale distributed data, is a popular approach to constructing Distributed Data Mining (DDM) systems and is characterized by a variety of agents coordina...
